B2B & retail

B2B and retail-compliant fulfillment

About half of what leaves our building is B2B. Case picks, pallet builds, routing-guide labeling and LTL freight are core work here, not a footnote under DTC.

Minimus Fulfillment ships wholesale and retail orders to a retailer’s routing guide: case picking, pallet building and wrapping, carton and pallet labeling, ASN and EDI support, and LTL freight booking. Roughly half of our volume is B2B, and we have shipped to retailers including Target and Walmart.

Why retail chargebacks happen

A retail purchase order is not just an order — it is an order plus a rulebook. The routing guide dictates how cartons are labeled, how pallets are stacked and wrapped, how the advance ship notice is transmitted, which carrier is used, and what delivery window the freight has to hit. Miss any of it and the retailer deducts a chargeback from your invoice.

Small brands typically discover this on their first purchase order, after the shipment has already gone. The fix is straightforward but unglamorous: read the routing guide before the PO ships, and have a warehouse that has done it before.

What we do on the B2B side

  • Case and inner-pack picking from the same inventory pool as your DTC orders
  • Pallet building and stretch wrapping to a stated tie-high configuration
  • Carton and pallet labeling to retailer specification, including GS1-128
  • ASN and EDI support for retailer document requirements
  • LTL and truckload freight booking, including routed and collect shipments
  • Retail packs and display assembly built and shipped floor-ready
  • Distributor and foodservice orders, where our affiliated distribution business gives us useful familiarity with the paperwork

One inventory pool, both channels

The reason to run DTC and wholesale in the same building is not the rate — it is that you stop guessing. When a retailer’s purchase order and your Black Friday sale draw from the same physical pallets, you can see the conflict before it becomes a stockout on one side or a cancelled PO on the other. Brands running two vendors find out afterward.

Common questions

Do you support EDI?

We support the document and labeling requirements retailers impose, including advance ship notices, and we work with brands’ existing EDI providers. Tell us which retailer and which documents they require and we will confirm specifics before you commit to a purchase order.

Which retailers have you shipped to?

We have shipped to a number of national retailers including Target and Walmart. Because most of our client relationships are under non-disclosure agreements we do not publish a full list, but we are happy to discuss relevant experience on a call.

Can you handle both my DTC and wholesale orders from the same inventory?

Yes, and it is one of the better reasons to consolidate with us. One inventory pool means you are not splitting stock between vendors and guessing which side will need it.

Do you book freight?

Yes. We book LTL and truckload freight, including retailer-routed and collect shipments where the retailer dictates the carrier.

What if my retailer requires GFSI or SQF certification at the warehouse?

We do not hold those certifications ourselves, but we work with a referral partner who does. Tell us what the program requires and we will either handle it or introduce you to the facility that can — before the purchase order rather than after.

Can a client be 100% B2B?

Yes. Plenty of our volume is entirely wholesale, and the mix can be whatever your business actually is.
