Food, beverage and organic fulfillment
Shelf-stable food and drink, stored under federal and California registration, with a separate organic registration for certified product.
Minimus Fulfillment stores and ships shelf-stable food and beverage products from a facility registered with the FDA and with the California Department of Public Health for food warehousing. A separate organic registration covers certified organic product, so an organic brand’s handling chain stays documented through our building.
Registered at both levels
Food warehousing is regulated federally and, in California, again by the state. Plenty of 3PLs advertising food fulfillment hold neither registration and have simply never been asked. Minimus LLC holds both, plus a separate registration covering organic handling.
| What we hold | Why it matters to a food brand |
|---|---|
| FDA food facility registration | Required for a facility holding food for commerce; makes the building subject to FDA inspection |
| California food warehousing registration | State licensing of the building as a food warehouse, with state inspection in addition to federal |
| Organic registration | Keeps certified organic product in a documented, segregated handling chain while it is with us |
Full detail, including what these registrations do not mean, is on our compliance page.
What we handle
- Shelf-stable food — snacks, bars, powders, packaged goods, dry mixes
- Shelf-stable beverage — canned, bottled and powdered drink products
- Certified organic product under our organic registration
- Date-aware stock rotation on dated goods
- DTC and subscription shipping, including multi-pack and variety-pack building
- Retail and distributor orders built to routing-guide specification
- Foodservice channels, where our affiliated distribution business gives us familiarity with the paperwork
If you need something we are not
We handle shelf-stable product in an ambient facility. For two things that fall outside that, we have a referral partner rather than a shrug:
- Refrigerated storage
- GFSI or SQF certified warehousing, which club-store and some grocery programs require
Alcohol requires licensed handling we do not hold, and we do not offer frozen storage. In the cases we can refer, we would rather point you somewhere useful at the first conversation than have a purchase order fall over because nobody checked — and if part of your range is shelf-stable, we can often still run that side.
Beverage brands: check your weight math early
Liquid is heavy and liquid in glass is heavy and fragile. The difference between a well-designed shipper and a generic carton is frequently the difference between a viable DTC channel and one that loses money on every order. We will model it with you before you print anything.
Common questions
What is a food grade warehouse?
In practice it means a facility registered and equipped to hold food for commerce: registered with the FDA, subject to inspection, with pest control, sanitation, separation and record-keeping practices appropriate to food. In California the state also licenses food warehousing separately. Minimus LLC holds both registrations.
Can you store certified organic products?
Yes. We hold a separate organic registration and can provide documentation if your certifier asks about the facility handling your product. Organic goods are stored so they remain segregated and identifiable.
Do you offer refrigerated or frozen storage?
No — we handle shelf-stable product in an ambient facility. We do have a referral partner for refrigerated storage, so tell us what you need and we will make the introduction. We do not have a frozen option.
Are you SQF or GFSI certified?
Not ourselves. Those are audited third-party food safety schemes, and we work with a referral partner who holds them. If your retail program requires one, we will tell you immediately and connect you rather than letting you find out after you have committed.
Can you handle alcohol?
No — alcohol requires licensed handling we do not hold.
Can you ship to grocery and natural retailers?
Yes. We build retail-compliant pallets to routing-guide specification and book LTL freight. Confirm with us which retailer and which requirements before the first purchase order, since the rules differ by chain.

Food brand looking for a registered facility?
Tell us what you make, whether it is organic, and which retailers you sell into. We will confirm what we can support — and refer you on for anything we can't.
